The Marine Discovery Centre hosts monthly Open Days on weekends to the public for a morning or afternoon of aquatic delights and fun education. A range of interactive experiences will engage visitors with the wonders of marine life and the importance of looking after our environment.
The day is set up as a guided and self-discovery opportunity to explore the many features of the centre, including:
Interactive models featuring oceanography, climate change, marine debris, marine habitats, touchscreens, sustainable fishing, stormwater, beachcombing, and get hands-on with microscopes.
Admission price includes Beachcombing Poster.

The Centre is designed for only two classes so it is very compact and prams must be parked outside, and the total number of occupants (and thus tickets) is capped at 60 in each session.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No.
What are my parking options for the event?
Parking can be found along Seaview Road, Marlborough Street and behind the Henley Beach Parish accessible via Foord Ave. Entry into the Centre is via the Marlborough Street gate with the main entrance at the back of the building.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring a hat and sun-protective gear for the marine trail. Please do not bring food into the Centre. Henley Square is located a short walk from the centre.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, we have a copy of all ticket holders, so you just need to tell us your name.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
